ScopeHound was born at a startup where everyone needed to know what competitors were doing, but nobody had time to check. So I put the intel where the team already lived: Slack.
ScopeHound started as an internal tool. While helping build Alfie.io, an AI-powered affiliate marketing platform, I realized I was spending hours manually checking competitor websites, Reddit threads, Product Hunt launches, and Hacker News posts for pricing changes, new features, and market moves.
The enterprise tools that did this cost thousands per month and locked insights inside dashboards nobody checked. I needed something leaner: automated monitoring that delivered analyzed intel directly into Slack, where decisions actually happen.
So I built it. Then I open-sourced it, because every startup deserves access to competitive intelligence, not just the ones with enterprise budgets.
Self-host for free. Inspect the code. Contribute. No vendor lock-in, no black boxes.
Intel delivered where your team works. No new dashboard to check, no new login to forget.
Sustainable pricing, honest features. ScopeHound charges for the value it delivers, not the budget you have.

My belief is that competitive intelligence should be accessible, actionable, and affordable. That means making deliberate tradeoffs: I prioritize reliability over polish, and utility over feature bloat.
Every feature earns its place. If it doesn't make your competitive awareness better, it doesn't ship.
Open-source core. Public roadmap. You can see exactly what you're running and why.
Unit economics that work at every tier. ScopeHound is a business made to last.
Intel locked in a dashboard is wasted intel. ScopeHound's philosophy starts with "how does this reach the team?"
